Thanks to all who have signed up to volunteer their time for our team. We are still in need of some help when it comes to snacks at meets, bringing items to our banquet and pasta parties, and serving during our banquet and pasta parties. Weekly Awards from our 3/4/26 Home Tri and the 3/6/26 Batavia Coach Di Invite

Each week, we will recognize a handful of athletes for exceptional efforts at our meets. Our team captains have selected the following athletes from last week's home meet to be recognized.

  • Runner of the week: MATT KING -- "This week's runner of the week goes to a kid who has already began to set the tone for the season. Often Seniors won't fully commit and just try to coast however this kid has made it clear that he is still just as committed as ever. On Friday this kid ran a solid performance and although he might have hoped for more, we all can see this kids potential. Hopefully this kid can develop into a even stronger runner. This week's runner of the week goes to Matt King. - Luke Dupuy

  • Field athlete of the week: FINN BENSON -- "This weeks field athlete of the week is a kid who consistently puts in the work, and you can see it in his results. I feel like every meet I hear that he hit a new pr, and last weeks meet wasn't an exception. This kid hit a triple jump pr of 42 feet and 5 inches, which is barely above a foot behind the state qualifying mark. Beyond just triple jump, anyone on the team could tell you they love the energy this kid brings, and we can't wait to see what he does later this year in triple jump. This weeks field athlete of the week is Finn Benson." - Nolan Borgman

  • Fire in the eyes: JAYDEN DANIEL -- "This weeks fire in the eyes award goes to a thrower. This athlete was in the thrower relay this past Friday. You could tell when he got the baton he wanted to do what was best for the team and was pushing himself. During the relay he tripped while running but this didn’t stop him. You could tell even when he was fell and got back up that he was giving his all for the team and that’s why this weeks fire in the eyes goes to Jayden Daniel" - Jordan Ademuyiwa

  • Captain's Award: DERRICK BURROWS -- "This week's captains award goes to an athlete who never fails to impress. After PRing in triple, the 200, and the 55 he stepped up and left everything on the track in the 4by4. This weeks captain awards goes to Derrick burrows." - Bode Haber

  • Awesome Award: BEN SCHOETTLE -- "This week's awesome award winner is one of the most focused and hardworking athletes on the team. At the coach D invite, he ran a blazing hurdles race where he broke the field house record, ran a school record, and became the current IL#1 and US#22. He also ran again in the 55m dash and 200, placing top 3 in both. This weeks awesome award winner is Ben Schoettle!" - Keaton Peter
