Weekly Awards from our Dual Meet at Batavia (Gio, Mike, Jordan, Luke. Not pictured: Matt)

  • Runner of the week: Jordan Ademuyiwa. "This week's runner of the week had a crazy good weekend for someone who is still fairly new to the sport. He had a lifetime PR in the 200 and another PR in the hurdles with a state ranking. Another great performance in high jump with a PR and a great leg in the 4x2. Congrats, Jordan! We're excited to see what you can do!" - Captain Rayan Mohammad

  • Field Athlete of the week: Luke Benson. "This athlete had a great leg in the4x2 and went on to win the meet in triple jump and long jump. He had two state qualifying jumps and is only an inch away from the indoor record!" - Captain Eduardo Vargas

  • Captain's Award: Mike Interlandi. "This athlete is always leading the charge when it comes to cheering for the 4x4 and is always trying to come up with new chants. He is the team spirit that every team wishes they had and this award goes to Mike Interlandi." - Captain Ben Saucedo

  • Fire in the eyes: Matt King. "This week's Fire in the eyes goes to an athlete who always seems to perform well under pressure and really goes into the race giving a 110% effort, and that lead him to dig deep in the last 800m and win his 3200 m heat with a gutsy effort and an outstanding performance. Way to go, Matt King!" - Captain Anthony Nitti

  • Awesome Award: Gio Hernandez. "This week's awesome award goes to a kid who's been running for Glenbard West for 4 years. Although he has dealt with injuries for pretty much all four years, his team spirit has neer wavered. He always cheers people on and no matter what, he always has a smile on his face. This week he ran a PR of 4:50 in the mile. This week's awesome award goes to Gio Hernandez!" - Captain Charlie Halden

Weekly Awards from last week's meet at Morton West (Owen, Charlie, Anthony, Ollie, Tim)

  • Runner of the week: Tim Meehan, for running a 4:39 in the mile on a 160m track when he thought that he didn't even break 5:00. What a great effort!

  • Field Athlete of the week: Ollie Wintermute. "This week's field athlete of the week has been putting in the work with us and on his own at club pole vault. We saw a glimpse of what he has to give to the team after he shattered the fresh/soph pole vault record by over a foot and won the meet! Congrats, Ollie!" - Captain Rayan Mohammad

  • Captain's Award: Charlie Davis, for putting an intense effort into his 4x4 leg, staying strong, and finishing hard, even diving to make sure he got that baton handed off safely. Nice work, Charlie!

  • Fire in the eyes: Anthony Nitti, for lighting the track on fire during his incredible 600. We could all see the heat!

  • Awesome Award: Owen Schmidt. "This week's Awesome Award goes to a freshman who had a monster PR in the 55 open. He ran a 7.15 which is the best freshmen time so far. The awesome award goes to Owen Schmidt!" - Captain Mihir Sharma
