Celebrations from Last Week
We had an excellent intersquad meet last Thursday. Thank you to all who participated. It is clear from those results that we have a dedicated group and are looking forward to an incredible season!
3 individual athletes were invited to participate in the Dr. Worrill Invitational in Chicago last Saturday:
Chase Martin Scott ran a 51.26 in the 400 which was good enough for a big PR and is currently ranked 7th in the entire state!
Ben Schoettle ran 7.92 in the 60 High Hurdles. He got a massive PR AND beat last year's state champion in the 110H in that race head-to-head. This also currently puts him 2nd in the entire state.
Jordan ran 2 races: the 60m Dash and the 200. He PR'd in both races, running a blistering 6.97 and a 22.03. Those times currently rank him 5th in the state in both events!
We are off to a great start this season, and I can't wait to see what the entire team is able to accomplish this Saturday at Batavia.
That's it! Remember to bookmark www.gwtrackandfield.com and join our Remind to stay connected.
