Weekly Awards from Haake Invite
Each week, we will recognize a handful of athletes for exceptional efforts at our meets. Our team captains have selected the following athletes from last week's home meet to be recognized.

Runner of the week: KEATON PETER- This guy is a distance runner, but he is genuinely a really good 400 runner. This kid works hard every day and shows up with a smile. He ran a 52.66 in the 400 this past weekend, and then doubled in a great distance-man 4x4 later on. This week's runner of the week goes to Keaton Peter. - Jacob Blew
Field athlete of the week: BODE HABER - This guy got 2nd place with rough conditions in pole vault at Haake. And although he scratched his discus throws, still got some massive distance. Even with very little experience, Bode could end up being one of the best discus throwers we have on the team. Nice 2-event double and great performances all around! - James Morris
Captains Award: LUKE DUPUY - This kid ran a PR in the mile in the midst of handling everything in the press box, working the timer and playing music up there. This kid would probably have no problem announcing the meet if we could let him. He truly cares about doing what he can to help the team from a race point of view, but also consistently cares about helping the team in other ways: with set up, helping clean up, helping with the hand-timed racing document, and again, helping in the press box. He is always asking, "coach, is there anything I can do to help?" Thanks for everything you do, Luke! - Coach Voland
Fire in the eyes: GRAHAM FARIS - This kid hit a PR in the 800 and was the first person on the team this year running sub 2 in that event. He then came back and ran a crazy 4x4 split of 52.5, hawking down his competition. Way to go, Graham! - Brandon Carpenter
Awesome Award: NICK MILLAN - This guy has been putting in work all season and the results are definitely starting to show with a near 30 second pr in the mile! This week's awesome award goes to Nick Millan! - Graham Faris
