Good afternoon,
Here is some important information for the week:
Home Meet on Friday (Haake Invitational)
Early Practices Wednesday & Thursday
Pasta Party Thursday
Weekly Celebrations
Home Meet on Friday (Haake Invitational)
All throwers should come in at 3:00, compete in shot, then help run the rest of shot at 4:00
All other events begin at 4:15, so athletes should arrive at 3:45 at the latest
Distance and 4x1 may need to come sooner to start their longer warm-up
Shot, Disc, Long, and Triple will be cafeteria style, 3 jumps each
Order of events: 4x800, 4x100, 3200, 110HH, 100, 800, 4x200, 400, 300H, 1600, 200, 4x400
Early Practices Wednesday & Thursday (1:30)
Due to testing, we will have practice at 1:30 on Wednesday and Thursday
Pasta Party Thursday (Help Needed)
Due to testing this week, Thursday's pasta party has been rescheduled to 2:45 - 4:00.
As always, all athletes are invited to enjoy great food (Barones) and even better company! We will also hand out remaining photos, yard signs, and meet awards.
We are still in need of some parent assistance at this pasta party. If you are able and willing, please reach out to me or Lisa Carpenter. Thank you!!
Weekly Celebrations
Runner of the week: Matt King for running under 10 minutes for the first time in the 2 mile and winning his race. Congrats!!
Field athlete of the week: Ollie Wintermute for hitting the state qualifying mark of 13'8" and getting a PR after a rough warm-up. Way to turn things around and vault higher than ever before.
Fire in the eyes: Owen Wright for a MASSIVE 10 second PR in the mile!
Awesome Award:
Luke Benson for winning the long jump and triple jump in flight A
Ben Schoettle and Chase Martin Scott for both running 44 in the 300 hurdles as freshmen on their first ever attempt. Great things are coming!
