Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break! Due to uncertainty with the weather and the length/intensity of today's workouts, we didn't have time to get our team meeting in. We'll hold our team meeting tomorrow, but I wanted to send out some information about our two meets this week in the meantime. We'll also reiterate this information at tomorrow's meeting.
Open Triad on Thursday @ Home
Participating teams: Bartlett, Benet, Glenbard West
Non-Scored, Hand-Timed, and Open in Nature
Everyone should plan on competing!
If athletes don’t already know what they are running, they will find out tomorrow. And because of the nature of the meet, it will be easy to add/switch events if needed on the day of the event
Running events AND Field events start at 4:30. Anticipated end time: 6:30
Order of events: Combined 4x800 and 3200, 4x100, 110 High Hurdles, 100, 800, 4x200, 400, 300 Intermediate Hurdles, 1600, 200, 4x400
Shot, Disc, Long, and Triple will all be cafeteria style with 3 attempts -- no finals
Best 4 Invitational on Saturday @ Wheaton North
Limited meet -- Athletes will find out tomorrow if/what they are running.
2 Buses leave Biester at 11:00 AM (Nugent and Mastandrea)
Pole Vault starts at 12:00, other field events start at 12:30, running events start at 1:00
Nature of the meet: Our top athlete in each event will compete against the top athlete in that event from all other schools. Meanwhile, our 2nd best in each event will compete against the second best from all other schools. Same for our 3rd and 4th best.
Each “division” will be scored separately with great competition!
Order of events: 4x800, 4x100, 3200, 110 HH, 100, 800, 4x200, 400, 300 IH, 1600, 200, 4x400
That's it for this one! I'll be sending out a few more reminders as well as celebrations from the Bulldog Relays in tomorrow's message. Thank you, and let me know if you have any thoughts or questions. All the best, Coach Voland
