Hi everyone,

I first wanted to send two reminders regarding picture day and fundraising. In short, athletes should come to school tomorrow (Monday) with their completed fundraiser form as well as their uniform and warm-ups.

You also have the option to purchase a yard sign! Lisa Carpenter has organized this sign up sheet for anyone interested. Please note that the ordering window closes on 3/22.

Picture Day Tomorrow (Monday) Bring Uniforms!

  • All athletes should bring their uniform AND warm-ups to school on Monday in preparation for our team photo.

  • While everyone should be in the team photo, Individual photos are optional. If you wish to order individual photos, you will need a physical order form. These were already handed out, but I've also attached a copy of the physical order form here.

  • Payments for individual photos have the option to be made online at mylifetouch.com. Use the Picture Day ID of EVT2VNB24

Bring Fundraiser forms Tomorrow (Monday) in Preparation for our Fundraiser on Tuesday (3:30 - 5:00)

  • Athletes and families: Please do your best to ensure that your fundraising form has 30 names & phone numbers (adults in your circle of support) that we can text/call on Tuesday.

  • Coaches will be collecting these forms tomorrow (regardless of how complete they are) so we can keep them in a safe place for Tuesday's fundraiser.

  • Please do not text/call these numbers in advance. This is what Tuesday's event will be for, and we will have a donation link available at that time.

  • See the FAQ below for ideas on who might be included in that circle of support

  • We will have snacks!

Fundraising FAQ

  • Why are we fundraising? Our fundraiser is helping purchases become possible that benefit the entire team (new warm-ups, new Jerseys, team t-shirts, pasta parties, our team banquet, Volt athletics, implements for each event, and more)

  • Is my athlete required to participate? While all athletes are encouraged to participate, absolutely no punishments will take place if athletes do not participate, or if they don't "earn" a certain amount. But we do rely on this fundraiser to keep our program going. Please give your best, honest effort to support our team.

  • Who should we ask to donate? Adults in your athlete's circle of support are the best options.

  • You might start with immediate family first: parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, or older cousins.

  • A second group may include neighbors, older family members' friends from work, parents' friends from work, or friends that your parents & older family members hang out with outside of work

  • A third group may include your parents' social circles: former coaches or people who were mentors when they were younger.

  • But of course, this is up to you and what you are comfortable with.

  • Why 30 people? Out of 30 names, many will politely decline or simply ignore the request. This is 100% ok and completely expected. But some will be happy to help, and 30 names helps ensure that each athlete will have at least a handful of donors.

  • Do donors receive anything? Yes - Donors DO receive the gift of a MyDeals online coupon book for one year as a thank you for donating any amount.

  • Will these names and phone numbers be kept private from Fundraising University? Yes! Names and phone numbers are stored on the physical form (linked above) and are texted/called directly from the athletes' phones in order to maintain complete privacy.

  • Will we still practice on Tuesday? Yes. We will have a short practice before fundraising begins on Tuesday.

Yard Signs

  • As mentioned above, you are welcome to order a yard sign using this sign-up link. Thank you again to Lisa Carpenter for getting this organized.

  • Please note that the sign-up window will close on Friday, 3/22.

Thank you, and please let me know if you have any questions! The conference meets this weekend were a huge success, and I will be sharing our celebrations in the weekly newsletter later this week.

All the best,

Coach Voland
